Fall 2026 Haggard Step Out Day

Tuesday, October 6 during regular lunch periods

Students have worked hard--it's time to celebrate! Enjoy an extended lunch, Raising Cane's, treats, games, and more!

Pre-order a Raising Cane's meal - $10

Each meal includes:

• 3-piece chicken tenders
• Fries
• Texas toast
• Cane's sauce 

Pre-order online through Saturday, October 3 or during lunch September 30 - October 2

*Cash and cards accepted during lunch

Regular cafeteria lunch will also be available on Step Out Day.

• Frios Gourmet Popsicles - $5 each (vegan options available)

Help PTA provide lunch for our Haggard staff!

A $10 donation provides a meal for one staff member, and with approximately 120 staff members, every donation helps make the day special for our teachers and staff!

Step Out Day FAQs:

What is Step-Out Day? Step-Out Day (weather permitting) is a fun event where the students have an extended lunch period, eat outside with their friends, play games, listen to music, and celebrate being almost done with the 9-week grading period.

How will students receive pre-ordered meals? During first period on Tuesday, October 6, PTA will distribute wristbands to everyone who pre-ordered a Raising Cane's meal, to allow for quick service during lunchtime.

I missed the deadline. Can I still purchase a meal ticket at the event? To ensure that your student will receive a meal, please pre-order a meal. The cafeteria line will also be open that day. Concessions, Bobaddiction, and Frios Gourmet Popsicles will be available for purchase at the event.

Will the cafeteria still be open? Yes, the cafeteria is open for regular meals this day, as well.

Are there vegan options available? Yes, Bobaddiction and Frios Gourmet Popsicles will both have vegan options available at the event.

Will there be other Step-Out Days? We have a Step Out Day tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2027.

Can my child purchase candy or drinks the day of the event? Yes, all concession candy/drink/chips purchases will be in-person only, at the event. All items are $2.

Can my child purchase concessions, Bobaddiction, or Frios Popsicles if they don't pre-purchase a meal? Yes, no purchase is dependent on any other purchase. 

Will there be additional tax on items or can I send my child with exact change? Bobaddiction prices include tax and toppings (like boba and fruit jelly), so drinks will be exactly $5 or $7. PTA concessions are exactly $2.

What flavors will Bobaddiction offer? Bobaddiction will offer classic milk tea, taro milk tea, strawberry milk tea, mango milk tea, mango green tea, passionfruit green tea, and strawberry black tea.

My child has Apple/Google Pay, can they pay with those? Unfortunately, we are no longer able to accept payments via phones due to a new Texas State law during the school day.

My child has a credit/bank card. Can they pay with that the day of the event? Yes, we will be able to accept credit card payments the day of the event for concessions and food trucks.

Are there volunteer opportunities for this event? Yes, there are volunteer opportunities for this event. A sign up genius will be posted on this page, as well as sent via our newsletter & posted on our Facebook Page. We will need help at the event, as well as setting up the event. This is a fun day to see your student(s) in action! Volunteers must have a current background check through plano.voly.org.
